Michael Tepass is the principal partner of Tepass - Employment Law. Michael was a Partner at Linklaters LLP for 15 years and has headed their German and Global Employment Law Practices before he set up Tepass - Employment Law in 2013. He has been advising German and international companies and financial institutions, including private equity firms, for more than 20 years in all areas of German and European employment law.

Michael is hands-on and enjoys being part of a client's team when implementing a certain project as well as assisting generally with labor and employment law advise. Michael has special experience in executive employment and remuneration, business restructuring and negotiation of social plans, employee involvement and consultation with national and European resp. SE works councils. 

Michael graduated from Justus-Liebig University Law School, Giessen, Germany and completed his clerkship at the Frankfurt, Germany Court of Appeals. He obtained a master's degree from University of Wisconsin Law School, Madison, Wisconsin, and a doctorate in law from Justus-Liebig University Law School. Michael was Associate with Boden Openhoff, first in Cologne, Germany, then in New York and eventually in Frankfurt. He became Partner at the merged firm of Oppenhoff & Rädler in 1998 which in 2001 merged with Linklaters of London.

Michael has long been recognized as a leading German employment lawyer, including by JUVE, Chambers&Partners, Legal500, and Euromoney's Guide to the World's leading Labor and Employment Lawyers.
